The Aftercare Aide helps provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that reflects Christian values while supervising students at the end of the school day.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise students during aftercare hours to ensure safety and well-beingAssist with dismissal, snacks, homework time, and structured play activitiesMaintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive environmentSupport appropriate student behavior using consistent expectationsCommunicate effectively with aftercare staff, teachers, and parents as neededEnsure cleanliness and organization of aftercare spacesFollow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesModel respectful behavior and Christian values in all interactionsSupport the mission and values of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and SchoolQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience working with children preferredAbility to supervise students indoors and outdoorsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDependable, patient, and flexiblePracticing Catholic preferred; all candidates must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic ChurchThe Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
