This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead operations at a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy in the Nicholasville area of Kentucky. The pharmacy dispenses approximately 600 prescriptions daily and requires a dependable leader who values reliability and punctuality. The ideal candidate will have a clear and active Kentucky Pharmacist license along with 2-4 years of LTC experience and recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in the LTC setting. Familiarity with pharmacy software is needed; training on Frameworks will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing and patient counseling. Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to promote safe, efficient operations. Lead and support pharmacy staff through training, feedback, and performance evaluations. Manage medication inventory to balance supply and minimize waste. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance partners to resolve medication issues. Address customer concerns with professionalism and timely responsiveness. Conduct audits and quality improvement initiatives, keeping the pharmacy compliant and efficient. Maintain a clean and safe work environment aligned with infection control standards. Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift Evening and weekend hours only as needed This position is a direct hire opportunity with an immediate start.
