Per Diem Retail Pharmacist Opportunity - Tucson, AZ This opportunity is ideal for experienced retail pharmacists ready to support a busy pharmacy team in the Tucson area. This role focuses on per diem staffing to cover call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes across multiple food and pharmacy locations. You will be part of a 2-3 pharmacist team trained to ensure seamless operations during peak times or coverage needs. Responsibilities: Provide professional pharmacy services in retail settings with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125. Counsel patients, verify prescriptions, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians for efficient workflow; some locations may operate as pharmacist-only sites requiring full independent operation. Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory. Participate in dedicated training sessions to become proficient with QS1 pharmacy systems and site-specific protocols. Administer immunizations as authorized and uphold BLS certification standards. Work flexible shifts Monday through Saturday, typically between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., with some pharmacies extending to 8 p.m. Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred. Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required. Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is a plus; training provided. Strong communication and patient care skills. Ability to work part-time, preferably 2-4 days per week, with willingness to fill in as needed. Location: Multiple pharmacy sites throughout Tucson, AZ.
