This opportunity is to serve as Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) at an independent retail pharmacy located in Southern Mississippi. The role offers local or travel options with a contract type position available for an immediate start. You will be working with a pharmacy utilizing a newer system (DRX) and serving a monthly volume of approximately 1,500-2,000 prescriptions. Responsibilities: Oversee daily retail pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth and compliant workflows Serve as the designated Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) Manage, review, and verify prescriptions accurately Maintain compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations Collaborate with support staff, including an experienced technician, to maximize patient care efficiency Support a pain clinic focused on approximately 140 patients per day Qualifications/Desired Experience: Active Mississippi Pharmacist License required Management experience is appreciated but not mandatory Comfort and experience handling pain medications is essential Strong professionalism combined with a friendly and reliable approach Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM Weekends closed Work Environment & Support: One PIC and one technician currently on site, with additional staff planned as business grows Independent pharmacy setting providing exceptional patient care and support This position is ideal for a pharmacist seeking a leadership role with manageable hours and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on patient health in a well-supported environment.
