Are you living your life's work?Holistic Health Educator/Part-time/Per Diem POSITION SUMMARY: Investigate, develop, coordinate, facilitate and assess evidence informed integrative and complementary, holistic health, and mind-body programs and interventions for employees, patients, and the various populations served by the Lancaster General Health/ Penn Medicine. This is done in collaboration with the well-being leaders and stakeholders throughout the community and organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develops and facilitates holistic health interventions, programs, and classes for employees, patients and populations served by Lancaster General Health/Penn MedicineFacilitates one on one and group classes, programs, and interventions (ie Mindfulness, Yoga, mind-body movement, Community Acupuncture, holistic education and meditation) Coordinates guest facilitators to collaborate in the development of effective programmingAssesses employee and population needs from the lens of whole person health and develops programs based on findings, and guidance of the holistic therapy leadership team and well-being stakeholdersDevelops a network for outreach with local holistic health and wellness professionals, companies, and organizationsSynchronize well-being and holistic health messaging and program developmentWorking with holistic therapy management to write text for promotional materials for Holistic Therapy Specialty Service programsDelivers text to Marketing ContactRefer new materials to Marketing/Communications/Web Services/IS as needed for all HT pagesWork with Holistic Therapy and well-being leadership to integrate services seamlessly throughout out all populationsWork with leadership to track outcomes using clinical calculators, (i.e perceived stress scale, peg, ACE scores, etc) also track engagement and attendance of programsOther tasks related to Holistic Health and Mind-body medicine service integration and coordination, as guided by direct supervisorMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Req Other Bachelors degree; or High School diploma with an advanced/ professional certification in a holistic field of study (such as American Massage therapy Association, Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, National Certification commission for acupuncture and oriental medicine)Req 3+ years Minimum of three (3) years prior experience in education and teachingReq Strong interpersonal, written and public speaking skillsReq Strong organizational skills and attention to detailReq Ability to work effectively, and collaboratively across all levels of the organizationPref Bachelor's DegreePref Prior Holistic Health and Mind-Body Medicine experienceRelated certification or training in a mindfulness based interventionWe believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
