The schedule includes a minimum of three 24-hour shifts per pay period. Shifts typically run from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. Occasional 12-hour shifts may be required. The provider will have in-house on-call coverage with a sleep room available. Provider daily volume averages four ED patients per day. The average daily hospital practice census includes four inpatients (observation, acute care, and swing bed). The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system for documentation. Inpatient responsibilities are included for this position. The environment is supported by two registered nurses for all services. There is additional ancillary staff support, including one certified nursing assistant per provider. Each provider has access to three emergency department treatment rooms and 20 inpatient beds. Medical imaging and laboratory services are available on site, as well as pharmacy services. The patient population served includes a variety of healthcare needs. The facility offers comprehensive care, including a 3-bed emergency department and a 20-bed medical-surgical department. Outpatient services include laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation, infusion, and ambulatory surgery.
