Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you'll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Senior Embryologistwill:Demonstrate advanced skills in Embryo Freezing, Thaws, Retrievals, Embryo Checks, Egg Freezing, Transfers, ICSI, Biopsy, and Cell LoadingBe able to work and troubleshoot independentlyMake appropriate clinical decisions, with little to no guidanceServe as trainer/mentor to others on teamAssist Lab Director in preparation for auditsUndertake embryology laboratory procedures as directedMaintain attention to detail with an awareness and understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) treatmentComply with HIPPA privacy regulationsComplete competency in latest technologies including, but not limited to: trophectoderm biopsy, oocyte vitrification, and complex micromanipulation skillsDemonstrate advanced knowledge of reproductive biology including the male and female reproductive systemDemonstrate excellent clinical skills and be able to lead and work in a team environmentBe comfortable with the physical handling of oocytes, embryos and semen including hazardous specimensManage of aseptic techniquesBe competent in the correct assessment and grading of oocyte, embryo and sperm morphologyDemonstrate ability to maintain detailed and accurate patient logs and laboratory reportsCommunicate detailed information to patients, staff and regulatory bodiesProvide support for CAP inspection preparedness and inspectionsCommunicate clearly, professionally, and timely with staff, physicians and patientsParticipate in Continuing Technical Improvement exercisesMaintain technical proficiency in routine laboratory proceduresAssist in the preparation of routine and ad hoc analyses of data relating to performance of the laboratory and individual technologists, and to specific research projectsDeliver patient/customer services seamlessly across system boundariesHandle stressful patient/customer situations appropriately. Ensures patient/customer and family confidentiality, respect, safety and securityConsult with embryology staff and Director about quality control concerns and advisesHelp troubleshoot equipment issuesEnsure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and policies (including OSHA) are updated and reviewed annually by all EmbryologistsWhat You'll BringWe're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience-individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:Bachelor's of Science in Life Sciences or related field required; Masters Degree (or higher) in Reproductive Sciences or related field preferred4+ years of IVF Lab experience (Advanced skills in Embryo Freezing, Thaws, Retrievals, Embryo Checks, Egg Freezing, Transfers, ICSI, Biopsy, and Cell Loading demonstrated proficiency in all routine embryology and andrology laboratory procedures including micromanipulation and biopsy of gametes and embryos)Accredited by State as a Laboratory Professional if requiredAmerican Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) TS certification preferredAbility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis with other teammatesExcellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of organizationDemonstrated ability exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential informationExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work independently, under pressure and within deadlinesExceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work as part of a teamGood research skillsTech savvyFlexibility and willingness to learn at all timesExcellent multi-tasking abilitiesMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
