Mission Graduates increases the number of K-12 students in San Francisco's Mission District who are prepared for and complete a college education. Founded in 1972, Mission Graduates provides a wide range of afterschool, in-school, and summer programs helping to establish college education as an expectation and goal for every child. Each year, Mission Graduates reaches over 3,600 low-income children, youth, and families in San Francisco, emphasizing college as a means to achieve economic equity and strengthen the fabric of our community.Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and caring support staff member to assist with our after-school supper program and student dismissal procedures. This role is essential in ensuring students are safely supervised, meals are distributed efficiently, and dismissal runs smoothly as students are signed out to parents and guardians.Key Responsibilities & Primary DutiesAfter-School Supper SupportAssist with meal setup, distribution, and cleanupEnsure students receive meals in an organized and timely mannerMaintain a clean and safe eating environmentFollow all food handling and safety guidelinesTrack meal counts and support required documentationStudent Dismissal & Gate SupportSupport safe and orderly student dismissal at the school gateVerify parent/guardian identification as neededAccurately sign students out according to school proceduresMaintain clear communication with families and staffHelp ensure student safety during high-traffic dismissal timesQualificationsExperience working with children in a school or youth setting preferredStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environmentReliable, punctual, and detail-orientedBilingual (preferred but not required)Skills & AttributesWarm and welcoming demeanor with familiesStrong attention to safety and proceduresAbility to work collaboratively with school staffCommitment to supporting a positive school communityPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 30 pounds$23 - $23 an hourWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
