Job Description

Support complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures as an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist. This contract opportunity is based in Paterson, NJ, offering a dynamic role assisting specialty proceduralists side by side during intricate cases. Key responsibilities include: Assisting proceduralists during complex interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures by scrubbing in and managing instrumentation Operating floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic machines with proficiency Identifying, retrieving, and circulating specialized products during interventional cases Exercising critical thinking to support proceduralists in complex neuro-interventional interventions Operating power injection devices for iodinated contrast media during procedures Maintaining sterile technique and infection prevention measures when preparing procedural trays Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons Documenting procedures accurately in electronic medical records and managing image transmission to Sectra/PACS systems Managing post-intervention groin care efficiently Providing high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment Qualifications and experience: Current ARRT certification with NJ state radiographic licensure is required Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist Cardiovascular technologist experience combined with required radiographic licensure is acceptable BLS certification from an AHA-approved or equivalent accredited program with demonstrated skills in basic life support Strong communication skills emphasizing closed loop communication Location highlights: Paterson, NJ is a vibrant city that combines urban accessibility with diverse cultural experiences.
