We are a Drug Free Workplace."POSITION: HEAD START PROGRAM PRESCHOOL TEACHER ASSISTANTLOCATIONS:Colonel Zubkoff Center, 55 NW 199th Street, Miami, Fl. 33169When: Daytime, Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week, hours are 7:30am to 4:00pmHourly Rate of Pay: $17.91 per hour*FCCPC Birth-Five or CDA Preschool certification required, or an Associate in Early ChildhoodResponsible for assisting Head Start classroom teachers in the care and development of children enrolled in an early childhood education center as well as maintenance of the classroom. Hours vary based on an as-needed basis.Assists in planning and teaching activities within the YWCA's developmentally appropriate framework to encourage the advancement of children's cognitive, social/emotional, physical and creative skills.Requirements"We are an equal opportunity employer. DCF Child Care 45 hour childcare training in addition to VPK courses and 15 hours of continuing education each year thereafter; however, the YWCA reserves the right to increase hours of training annually. Red Cross First Aid certificate; certificate of good health and completed TB test.
