Job Description

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Cornelius, NC as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, operate CT equipment, and perform routine and STAT CT exams for ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations.Minimum Requirements:2 years CT Technologist experience required.Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT certification required.BLS certification required.Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technologist program preferred.Required experience with GE CT systems, specifically GE Revolution Apex preferred but GE CT experience is required.Experience working in a fast-paced imaging department performing routine and STAT CT exams, including Code Stroke response and post-processing techniques.Experience using EPIC for EMR and Epic Radiant (RIS) and familiarity with Philips iSite PACS preferred.Ability to serve emergency department, inpatient, observation, and outpatient patient types.Assignment Details:Facility type: Hospital.Shift name: Nights.Shift details: Nights 1800-0700, 3x12.Assignment duration: 13 Week travel assignment.Standard hours per week: 36.Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS.Equipment in department: GE Revolution Apex CT and Bayer MedRad dual-head contrast injector.EMR/RIS/PACS: EPIC, Epic Radiant, Philips iSite.Orientation: 1 day administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearning, policy review), remainder of first week dedicated to department-specific training.Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit.Location Highlights. Cornelius, NC offers access to regional recreation and lakeside lifestyle. The town sits on the shores of Lake Norman, approximately 20 miles north of Charlotte and about 30 minutes from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, providing a suburban, waterfront lifestyle with urban access. Visitors and residents frequent Brawley School Park and Jetton Park for lakefront trails and boating access, and Lake Norman State Park is about a 15-20 minute drive offering hiking, fishing, and paddle sports. Downtown Davidson is a nearby historic college town roughly 10 minutes away by car, offering dining, arts venues, and commuter rail access to Charlotte. The area supports a blend of suburban and active outdoor lifestyles with proximity to major highways (I-77) for commutes and regional travel.Additional Information: Department averages approximately 30 studies per weekday and 14 studies on weekends. Outpatients are scheduled on weekends. The department serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations.
