An experienced Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is needed to lead pharmacy operations in a specialty pharmacy setting. This onsite role requires strong clinical expertise, regulatory compliance oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support patient care and medication management. Location: Foxborough, MA (onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Weekend on-call rotation Key Responsibilities: Oversee prescription review, verification, dispensing, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, ACHC) Provide patient counseling and manage medication therapies for specialty disease states Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, fostering a team-focused environment Collaborate with Intake, Referral Services, Nursing/Clinical, and Pharmacy Operations teams to ensure seamless workflows Support quality assurance activities, documentation, and incident resolution Maintain accurate pharmacy records and operational procedures Participate in weekend on-call rotation as required Qualifications and Experience: Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License required Connecticut Pharmacist License preferred or willingness to obtain quickly Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy Minimum 3 years of experience in specialty, infusion, hospital, or similar pharmacy settings Background in specialty, infusion, or compounding pharmacy-retail-only experience does not meet requirements Experience working or supervising pharmacy technicians Knowledge of specialty therapies, patient qualification processes, and payer requirements Familiarity with CareTend software preferred Strong leadership, clinical judgment, multitasking, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software Ability to work onsite and adapt to operational priorities This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with an immediate start and initial term of 13 weeks, with a possibility to extend to 26 weeks.
