Radiology Assistant - Full-Time - Baylor Scott & White Health | Round Rock Medical Center Location: Round Rock, TX Facility: Baylor Scott & White Health - Round Rock Medical Center Schedule: Full-Time | * Monday: 11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. * Thursday: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. * Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. * Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Position Overview Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dependable and hardworking Radiology Assistant to support our Imaging Services team at Round Rock Medical Center. This role is essential to ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The Radiology Assistant works closely with technologists, nurses, and physicians to prepare patients, assist with procedures, and maintain a safe and organized imaging department. Important: This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent walking, lifting, and assisting with patient transfers (bed to stretcher, wheelchair, etc.). Our Core Values * We serve faithfully * We never settle * We are in it together * We make an impact What You'll Do * Transport patients safely throughout the imaging department and hospital * Prepare patients for radiology exams and assist technologists, nurses, and physicians during procedures * Verify patient identity using AIDET and two patient identifiers * Provide patient support by explaining procedures and helping reduce anxiety * Assist with room turnover, including cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing exam rooms for the next patient * Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and restock imaging rooms as needed * Perform department-wide safety and compliance checks * Operate and maintain imaging support equipment according to safety standards * Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and handling of imaging records * Observe patients for changes in condition and notify clinical staff when needed * Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols Key Success Factors * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and patient safety * Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities efficiently * Dependability and willingness to support team needs Physical Requirements * Frequent walking, standing, and lifting * Ability to assist with patient transfers and positioning * Ability to move equipment and support patient transport throughout the facility Benefits Our competitive benefits package includes: * Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits * 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% * Tuition Reimbursement * PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Benefits may vary based on position type and/or level. Qualifications Education * High School Diploma or GED required Experience * Healthcare, patient care, or hospital experience preferred Skills * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Basic computer knowledge and ability to document accurately
