Respiratory Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at an urgent care clinic. This role involves a variety of medical assistant duties to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities * Collect patient demographics accurately and efficiently. * Triage patients based on their symptoms and medical history. * Assist with maintaining and updating electronic health records. * Measure and record patient vitals such as blood pressure and temperature. * Provide patient education and support as needed. * Schedule appointments and manage the front desk operations. * Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures as required. * Verify insurance information and ensure accurate billing processes. Essential Skills * 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic environment. * Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. * Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures. * Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle patient inquiries. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in appointment scheduling and patient care coordination. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous. Work Environment The role is based onsite at a primary care clinic, with a typical schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. You will see between 20 to 30 patients a day.
