Bay Area Hospital is along the Oregon Coast line which gives you access to some of the best PNW beaches, hiking, and dune bugging.POSITION SUMMARYUnder the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists the physician performing a surgical procedure by establishing and maintaining a sterile field in the O.R., setting up equipment, scrubbing in, handing instruments and supplies to surgeon. Assists the surgical team by preparing patient for transport out of O.R. and cleaning O.R.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFunctions as a scrub tech before, during, and after surgical procedures, performing duties that include, but are not limited to:Establishing and maintaining a sterile fieldProcedure-specific preparation and instrument/equipment set-up; ensuring all equipment and supplies are available/at handHanding off instruments/supplies to surgeonManagement of medications on the sterile fieldOperation of laser o Management of chest and wound drainageManagement of anatomical and body fluid specimensCare of staples/suturesSurgical instrument and supply countsApplying dressingsAssisting with preparations for transport of patient out of O.R.Assisting the team with cleaning and set up of O.R. in preparation for next caseMust be able to take call nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis; must be within 20 minute travel time to hospitalRequirement description : By submitting your applicant to this need you are acknowledging that you have checked and have no inclination that your candidate has applied directly to this position.
