Facilitate effective interventions with students who exhibit behaviors which impact their learning and that of other students. Performance Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative services for students and work collaboratively with administrators, teachers and support staff to demonstrate best practices, strategies, and interventions to enhance instruction for students with social, communication, and behavior challenges.Develops, implements and monitors strategies for positive student behavior.Model strategies by working directly with students, teachers, administrators, and staffWork with staff to evaluate effectiveness of positive behavior supports and interventions and recommend adjustments as needed.Utilize consulting skills to assure implementation and maintenance of intervention plans.Makes periodic visits of environments to assure established behavior strategies are implemented.Develops and conducts trainings for school administrators, teachers and staff in various intervention strategies.Conduct classroom observations in the classroom environment.Conducts student functional behavior analysis assessment.Identify methods for collecting data related to behavior.Maintain accurate records and files, and prepare documents and reports.Model implementation and intervene directly with the student as needed.Comply with IDEA process requirements as applicable.Demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.Comply with good safety practices.Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.Other duties as required or assigned.Terms of Employment:Applied Behavior Analyst will be employed for nine (9) month position.
