In 2023, the Department of Psychiatry launched an outpatient behavioral health service to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. The current outpatient team consists of two psychiatrists and three licensed clinical social workers/psychotherapists. * Perform intake assessments for new adult patients 18 years of age or older * Provide direct treatment services to patients within the clinics utilizing appropriate modalities including individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. * Work closely and collaboratively with the program psychiatrist. * Participate in interdisciplinary diagnostic and treatment planning conferences, including case presentations, and make recommendations regarding the needs of the patient from a social work perspective. * Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Qualifications: * Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. * Current CT licensure as an LCSW. * 2+ years of experience with outpatient psychotherapy preferred. * Group therapy experience strongly preferred. * Cognitive behavioral therapy experience strongly preferred. * Good interpersonal verbal/written communication skills.
