HiFyve is hiring a Senior Chemist in the Manufacturing industry in Wichita, KS!Salary: $105K-$125K + 5% STIP BonusShift: DaysLocation: Wichita, KSBenefits: Full benefits packageAbout the RoleThis role leads formulation and testing of industrial lubricants, ensuring product performance, quality, and compliance while supporting R&D and cross-functional teams.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and advanced testing on products and raw materialsDesign and implement SOPs for lab processes and manufacturing supportMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentationCoordinate equipment installations and major repairs with vendorsAnalyze, validate, and report data in compliance with industry standardsInvestigate deviations and ensure quality control procedures are followedProvide technical leadership and training to junior staff and techniciansDevelop and support laboratory training programs and safety practicesCollaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teamsMaintain accurate documentation of experiments and resultsBuild and manage relationships with vendors and suppliersParticipate in industry organizations (ASTM, NLGI, STLE)Support integration efforts and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry required (Master's preferred)10+ years of laboratory experience (15+ years in lubricants preferred)Strong expertise in formulations, testing, and industry standardsExperience with advanced analytical instrumentation and troubleshootingAbility to mentor, train, and lead less experienced team membersStrong understanding of scientific methods and data analysisProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExperience working with vendors and coordinating equipment installs/repairsPublic speaking or industry involvement is a plusIf you're interested, please apply!
