American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an acute care hospital radiology department, requiring ARRT certification, a WA state license, and the ability to cover general radiology, fluoroscopy, OR, and ER settings.Job Details• Acute care hospital setting with 10 x-ray rooms spread throughout the medical center and 34 OR rooms,• Department covers General Radiology (x-ray), outpatient clinic, inpatient and outpatient fluoroscopy, Outpatient Ortho Clinic, ER, fluoro/x-ray room in CCU, and OR (34 rooms),• Techs are scheduled in one area and rotate areas on a weekly basis, with flexibility to move areas to cover as needed,• Common imaging types include general x-ray, fluoroscopy, OR imaging, and portables,• Average daily volume: approximately 73 general x-rays, 10 fluoroscopy exams, and 6-7 C-arm cases in the OR,• Equipment includes Philips DR and CR x-ray rooms, 7 GE DR portable units, Ziehm and GE/OEC C-arms, and a Siemens O-arm,• EMR: Cerner PowerChart; RIS: GE Centricity; PACS: Philips Intellispace,• 4x10 variable day shifts, with start times cascading from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (standard 10-hour shift: 7:30 AM-6:00 PM),• Weekend coverage required as needed,• Call required as needed,• Holiday coverage may be required based on departmental need,• Level III trauma center,Job Requirements• Active ARRT certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted,• Active WA state license required; pending licenses will not be accepted - license required if applicable,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum of 1 year of radiology technologist experience,• Ability to cover ALL areas of the department, including general radiology, fluoroscopy, OR, portables, and ER,• Proficiency with C-arm and O-arm operation required,• ER experience preferred,• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,Additional Information• Perform general x-ray, fluoroscopy, OR imaging, portable studies, and ER imaging across multiple areas of the medical center,• In-house radiologist on staff; lead techs provide departmental oversight,• Orientation consists of an organizational orientation with modules on day one, followed by a rotation through the different areas over approximately one week,• Navy, gray, or a mix of navy and gray scrubs; OR scrubs are provided - candidates should arrive in casual (non-loungewear) clothing when needing to change into OR scrubs,• Radiation dosimetry badge (rad badge) must be provided by the employing agency
