Get to Know Your Team: * UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities * Performs in-and-out EEG tests; confers with patient and elicit cooperation to maximize diagnostic accuracy and to alleviate fear and anxiety associated with equipment and procedures. * Records reaction of specific activities performed by patient during testing. · Records all patient information for review by neurologist of physician; prepares condition during various periods of the testing. * Maintains all records related to EEG function; files tracing, prepares tracing to be sent microfilming, maintains a file of transcribed reports. * Maintains electroencephalograph machine in working order by cleaning and making minor adjustment. Qualifications Job Requirements: * High school diploma or GED equivalent. * BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements * Certificate of completion from an approved school of EEG Technology preferred.
