Title: Scientist – Vaccine Manufacturing / PAT Laboratory Duration: 12 months contract Location: West Point, PA 19486 Shift: 2nd Shift (4PM–12AM) or Swing Shift (12PM–8PM); flexible rotating schedule required Position Summary • Support vaccine manufacturing operations within a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) laboratory. • Execute assays and monitor viral propagation processes to ensure manufacturing consistency. • Maintain GMP laboratory operations, documentation, and equipment. • Contribute to process improvements through data analysis and technical investigations. Responsibilities • Conduct real-time flow cytometry assays to support manufacturing process control • Support transfer and implementation of PAT technologies into cGMP manufacturing environments • Perform routine laboratory operations including cleaning, supply management, and preventive maintenance • Monitor processes through assay execution and data collection (e.g., viral growth curves) • Maintain accurate GMP documentation and laboratory records • Analyze process data to identify variability and improvement opportunities • Conduct experiments to support technical investigations and long-term solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Qualifications Education: • BS in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology) or Engineering (Biomedical, Chemical) Experience: • 0–1 year of relevant experience (new graduates encouraged) • Academic laboratory experience required Skills: • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills • Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams • Ability to manage ambiguity and make real-time decisions • Intermediate Excel skills Preferred Skills: • Experience with flow cytometry and/or immunoassays • Experience with analytical testing (biochemical, molecular, cell biology techniques) • Experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques • Knowledge of GMP documentation and laboratory operations • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments Additional Requirements: • Willingness to be vaccinated or tested for Varicella (chickenpox) • Ability to work flexible and rotating shifts, including hybrid shifts during campaigns • Training required on first shift (3–4 weeks) Why Work With Us?
