The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job SummaryThe Aftercare Worker supports the school community by providing safe, nurturing, and engaging after-school care for students. This role plays a vital part in the daily lives of families and children, ensuring a structured and caring environment during after-school hours. Ideal candidates are dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with children.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise and engage a designated group of children during aftercare hoursEnsure the safety and well-being of all students in the programLead and participate in age-appropriate games, activities, and quiet timeMaintain a calm, respectful, and structured environmentAssist with snack time, clean-up, and transitions between activitiesReport any behavioral or safety concerns to the Aftercare Coordinator or school leadershipMaintain daily attendance and accurate records for assigned groupFoster positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staffJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or child development preferredExperience working with children in a school, daycare, or camp setting is a plusAbility to manage groups of children calmly and effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, reliability, and a caring demeanorThe Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
