At RLWS, the Laser Assistant helps with general operation of the lasers and other machinery, and operates overhead cranes to load steel and remove completed parts. Other duties include operating basic level machines such as cutoff saws, drill presses and semi-auto grinders, and moving parts to stocking locations. The Laser Assistant works in a manner in which quality of work and safety are top priorities. This is achieved by following safety procedures and work instructions and keeping the work area clean and organized.
