Overview: Responsible for managing the daily operations and workflows of the Lung Nodule program in conjunction with physician(s) and administrative leadership. Responsibilities: JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for managing the daily operations and workflows of the Lung Nodule program in conjunction with physician(s) and administrative leadership. The focus of this role will be to manage and follow up on lung nodules found through various avenues including but not limited to high-risk lung screenings, incidental findings in the Emergency Room and inpatient admissions. This person will coordinate the next level of care for patients with lung nodules and assist patients, clinicians and program stakeholders in the collection, reporting and presentation of program outcomes. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or Physician Assistant Program. Master's degree from a PA or NP program may substituted for nursing experience. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two (2) years of nursing experience required if an RN. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current RN license in the state of Georgia OR certification to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Fluent in Spanish - strongly preferred. Experience in working with heart valve disease population. Knowledge and experience in using the EMR system.
