CHILD WATCH TEAM MEMBER - Morristown Landing Recreation & Events MCC SFM, LLC LOCATION: Morristown, TN DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS REPORTS TO: MEMBERSHIP & FITNESS DIRECTOR STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT) ABOUT THE COMPANY: Morristown Landing Recreation & Events is a multi-sport sport, recreation and entertainment facility in Morristown, TN. POSITION SUMMARY: The Child Watch Team Member is responsible for the safety and supervision of children while their parents are participating in on-site recreation activities/classes at Morristown Landing Recreation & Events. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: * Directly align with the venue's Mission Statement and Core Values * Plan and execute age-appropriate activities * Clearly and effectively communicate with parents, children, and Team Members * Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children * Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities * Communicate with parents regarding their child's wellbeing * Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment * Report all accidents, safety hazards, or conflicts to your supervisor immediately * Additional tasks assigned by management THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS: * Previous experience working with children * Experience and success in customer service * Proven problem solving and conflict resolution skills * Action-oriented personality MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment * Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills * Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations * Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high * May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend * Will be required to operate a computer * Facility has intermittent noise
