Hospitalist (Admitter) - Internal Medicine - Full-Time | Renton, WA Valley Medical Center (VMC) is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Internal Medicine Physician-Hospitalist (Admitter) to join our established, collaborative, and collegial team of providers. Our approach to patient-centered care is team-based. You will provide inpatient clinical services for patients who are admitted to the hospital through the emergency department or by another physician who requests hospitalist services as well as consultative services for other specialties in the hospital. You'll also help support primary code captain (residents). We have an open ICU model, and you'll work collaboratively with the intensivists who will serve in a consulting role only. You will also respond to Rapid Response Team activation on your own patients, and other hospitalist patients at the primary hospitalist's request and to Code Blue on all hospitalist patients. About the position: * 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm OR 10am-8pm), 7 on-7 off for a total of 168 shifts/ year * Primary hospitalist responsible for admitting * Team of 41 hospitalists: 26 dayshift, 6 admitters, 8 nocturnists, and 1 APP * 12 rounding hospitalists on service each day; 3 admitters; 3 nocturnists at night Compensation: $380,000 annually ($2261.91 per 10-hour shift) + up to $10,000 incentives + opportunities for extra shifts Job Qualifications:
