This full-time 1099 contract position offers an excellent opportunity to care for active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families in a respected and mission-focused environment, no nights, weekends, or call required.As part of the Medical Home Port team, the physician will deliver the full spectrum of outpatient family medicine, from preventive and wellness exams to diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions. You will join a collaborative clinical team committed to maintaining medical readiness, promoting health, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive family medicine evaluations and routine exams across all age groups (neonatal through geriatric).Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care, including well-woman exams, school and sports physicals, and readiness assessments.Diagnose, treat, and prescribe appropriate courses of therapy within scope of privileges.Manage urgent and non-urgent conditions, responding to medical emergencies within the clinic as needed.Initiate Sick-in-Quarters (SIQ) and duty modifications for active-duty personnel when appropriate.Order and interpret diagnostic tests; request specialty consultations or referrals in accordance with MTF procedures.Participate in staff education, training, and clinical improvement initiatives.Accurately document encounters and ensure timely completion of medical records and referrals.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Family Practice setting within the past 5 years (must include care for pediatric patients).Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.Board Certification: Board eligible required; Board Certified preferred (ABFM, ABIM, or AOBFP accepted).Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC).Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a government background check.Why Join The Columbus OrganizationFor over 40 years, The Columbus Organization has partnered with government and healthcare systems nationwide to deliver high-quality clinical staffing solutions.
