Get to Know Your Team: * Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology. * Setting up and operating various types of equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and or illness. * The therapist provides administration of respiratory specific gases and medications, and modes of therapy for the respiratory compromised patient. * Responds to emergencies throughout the hospital. Advises on arterial blood gas results. Assists in the transport of mechanically ventilated patients. * May assist in the ordering of department supplies. * Takes and records verbal and telephone orders from physicians as necessary. * Acts as a resource person to nurses, physicians, residents, interns, respiratory staff, students and other hospital staff in regard to initiation and operation of all respiratory procedures. * May assume a Charge role in the absence of the Respiratory Supervisor. * Takes an active part in attending departmental in-service/education programs. * Participates in Quality Assurance programs, and participates in department and/or HHC committees. Work schedule includes working alternate weekends and holidays. * Performs all other duties as assigned Job Requirements: * Associated Degree in Respiratory Care * A minimum of 1 year of experience * Oklahoma CRT or RRT license (upon hire) * BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. * ACLS (within 30 days of hire) * NRP (within 60 days of hire)
