A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support a 100-bed community hospital located in Southern Oregon. This role offers a dynamic setting where you'll contribute to patient care in a hospital environment using advanced pharmacy technology systems. Location: Klamath Falls, OR (travel required; candidates should be flexible to relocate for the assignment) Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week Variable days and afternoon shifts Responsibilities: Perform medication order verification to ensure patient safety and accuracy Supervise pharmacy technicians and support their workflow Consult regularly with physicians and nursing staff regarding drug therapies and patient needs Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication dosing and therapeutic outcomes Utilize EPIC and Pyxis IT systems for medication management and documentation Qualifications: Valid Oregon pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Full-time availability throughout the assignment Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills This contract assignment offers valuable experience in a community hospital setting where your clinical expertise will have a direct impact on patient care.
