We are seeking a full-time BC/BE pediatric hepatologist to join our division. CHoR is a full-service children's hospital that offers robust pediatric clinical care, research, and education. This position will offer a faculty rank in the VCU School of Medicine with affiliation in the Department of Surgery and assist in the enrichment of a multidisciplinary pediatric transplantation core team at CHoR. Candidates will be part of a dynamic effort to enhance an academic gastroenterology center. Resources are available to assist in establishing a comprehensive pediatric team including availability of nursing, nutrition, and psychology support. Research and other scholarly activity are encouraged, and opportunities exist for collaborative research.Responsibilities: Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in the area of Hepatology. Faculty member will provide guidance and mentorship to Residents and Chief Residents in GI.Research: Faculty member will have experience in securing revenue through grants and contracts and will serve as a research mentor to other members of the division and the Department of Pediatrics.Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental or School of Medicine level committees when appropriate, as well as professional development through journal review, conference presentations.Clinical: Faculty member will provide clinical support within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology in support of clinical mission of CHoR of VCU Health System.
