Job DescriptionSeeking a BE/BC Epileptologist to join our growing Neurology Department in western West Virginia.Highlights:Full-time, hospital employed positionJoin an existing Epilepsy Physician and 8 Neurologists in a growing Neuroscience DepartmentStereotactic and Functional Neurosurgeon on staffFaculty members including General, Pediatric, Neurohospitalist, Neuromuscular, Movement, Headache, and VascularLevel 3 Epilepsy and Seizure Center is first in the regionEpilepsy monitoring unit has 5 specially equipped rooms for adults and 2 for PediatricsPosition involves clinic, hospital, and teaching componentsProvide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for general Neurology and epilepsy patients in both inpatient and outpatient settingsProvide general Neurology call coverage with other neurologists in a shared systemActive in physician and hospital outreach activities related to neurology/epilepsyParticipate in medical student and resident education, as well as researchAll other appropriate duties as assigned by the chair of the Department of NeurologyMultidisciplinary team includes Radiologists, Clinical Pharmacists, Nursing Dietitians, Physical, Occupational and Speech TherapistsEstablished Neurology Residency ProgramNew Medical Office Building under construction with 1 and 1/2 floors dedicated to Neurology and NeurophysiologyCompensation/Benefits:Excellent starting salaryCME allowanceSign-on bonusRelocation reimbursementGenerous comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, disability, PTO, sick leaveRetirement savings account with employer matchingEducational stipend availableCommunity:This riverside community offers an appealing mix of small-city affordability and cultural energy, anchored by a major university that brings arts, athletics, and a youthful vibrancy to the area.
