Seeking an experienced cardiovascular operating room professional specialized as an RN or CVOR Tech to support surgical procedures in a dynamic cardiovascular OR setting. This contract assignment in Crestwood, KY, offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team managing complex adult cardiac cases, including CABG, AAA repairs, valve replacements, TAVRs, and heart and lung transplants. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated CVOR experience (RN or Tech). RN candidates must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications; Tech candidates require BLS and CST certifications. Proficiency in CVOR surgical procedures and equipment usage essential. RN applicants should have circulating experience, including Foley catheter management, chest tube care, and AED familiarity. Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensers, and unit-specific equipment such as Bovie, harmonic scalpel, and OR beds. Robotic surgery (DaVinci D5) experience is preferred but not mandatory. Must be comfortable potentially floating to the vascular OR during lunch periods. Candidates must meet a 40-minute on-call response time and participate in weekend rotations and holiday coverage as scheduled. Shift and Schedule: 12-hour day shifts totaling 36 hours per week. Orientation covers approximately one week with variable shift times from early morning to late evening. Schedule planned in 6-week increments with management approval required for swap requests. Work Environment and Support: Surgical volumes fluctuate; adult patient cases only. Each case is supported by one RN and one Tech with dedicated management oversight.
