An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy leader to serve as Director of Pharmacy (DOP) with potential to also fulfill the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role at a behavioral health facility. This contract position supports critical inpatient pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting requiring immediate coverage through the hiring of a permanent director. Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with on-call responsibilities Weekend order verification remotely at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM (approximately one hour each) Key Responsibilities: Function as the pharmacist on-site, overseeing medication management and dispensing Attend interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate patient care and pharmacy services Manage medication inventory, including stocking Omnicell automation units Order medications to maintain adequate supply Lead new pharmacy setup initiatives, including policy development and staff training Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility standards Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required Proven inpatient pharmacy experience; behavioral health setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC electronic order entry system (on-site training provided) Experience with Omnicell automation preferred, with training available Ability to work independently without on-site tech support Strong leadership or prior DOP/PIC experience ideal Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual attire This role offers a meaningful opportunity to apply your expertise in pharmacy leadership while supporting behavioral health patient care.
