Who will I be working with? In support of Inflow's contract with the Government, you will be working alongside Government civilians and other Government contractors and chemists. What will I be doing? Using your technical expertise in chemistry, you will:Support Small Scale Sensitivity Testing (SSST) operationsSupport the Micro Analysis Laboratory in the areas of explosive research, testing, and data analysisKeep abreast of the latest research in energetic materials through literature reviews and technical conferencesUtilize Micro Analysis Laboratory equipment: DSC, TGA, 6200 Isoperibol w/1108 bomb, MP-70, ARSST, Nicolet 6700, Nicolet iS50, DXR, SEM/EDAX, CL/MS, LA 950V2, Powder Jet, Lab Hoods, DI Water, Optical Microscopes, Glassware, Gas ProvisionsSupport Micro Analysis Laboratory capabilities: Thermal Analysis, Molecular Spectroscopy, Separation and Spectrometry, Particle Size Analysis, Lab Overview, Lab Materials in Test SOP, Lab Check List Open/CloseSupport quarterly preventative maintenanceSupport current year updates on needs for equipment and suppliesSupport planning for upcoming year needs for equipment and suppliesAssist with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) policy reviews and other document updatesAid in the development of laboratory and test range instrumentation and equipment specificationsMake technical recommendations of laboratory and test range instrumentation and equipment as to which products best satisfy the technical needs of the GovernmentEnsure that user-level preventative maintenance is performed on all instruments and equipment and properly recorded; ensuring that such maintenance does not invalidate data collection and processing, a manufacturer's warranty, or other agreementEnsure that all instrumentation and equipment is accounted for, calibrated to the appropriate specifications, serviceable, and available for use to support operationsMaintain and update list of trained personnel and ensure that only properly trained personnel operate instrumentation and equipmentOther duties as assignedWhat experience, training, and education do I need?You must meet the minimum requirements:3+ years of technical experience in chemistryExperience supporting Small Scale Sensitivity Testing (SSST) operationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College or equivalent experience in a technically related fieldActive Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain Secret clearanceWhere is the client site that I would be working for?
