This travel opportunity is ideal for Medical Technologists and Medical Lab Technicians seeking a dynamic role in a Level II Trauma Center with specialty units including a Level III NICU and a Primary Stroke Center. Located near Millbrook, AL, this position offers a unique 7 days on, 7 days off schedule designed to provide a balanced work-life rhythm. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of laboratory tests in blood bank and chemistry departments. Utilize advanced technology including EMR systems (Cerner), Sakura tissue processors, manual microtomes, Benchmark ultrasound equipment, and Ventana H&E stainers. Maintain accuracy and quality in diagnostic testing within a high-acuity environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and precise laboratory results. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Minimum one year of relevant medical laboratory experience. MLS certification required; manager will consider MLS certification as equivalent. Preferred experience in blood bank and chemistry assays. Ability to adapt to varied shift times with a schedule cycle of 1 to 3 weeks. Shift hours for current opening: 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. No weekend rotations, on-call duties, or holiday expectations. Orientation includes 1 day of NEO and 2 days on-site lab-specific training.
