LVN / LPN – Medical Surgical Rochester 14621 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible) Start: 04/21/2026 Shift: Day/Night Rotation – 3x12 (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) • Every other weekend required • Holiday: Every other holiday (if needed) • Floating required Unit Details: • Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit • Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 • Patient Population: COPD exacerbation, infections, failure to thrive, social issues Requirements: • Active LVN/LPN License • BLS Certification (required) • NIHSS (preferred) • Recent Acute Care experience (within last 2 years) • Must be able to manage own patient assignment with RN support • EPIC charting experience required Preferred: • Experience in MS/Tele setting • Familiarity with EMR systems Responsibilities: • Perform vital signs, pain assessment, and intake/output monitoring • Administer medications (oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, eye/ear drops) • IV therapy using pumps and blood glucose monitoring • Telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG • Oxygen administration via nasal cannula • Feeding tube management • Provide wound care (simple dressings, JP/Hemovac drains) • Assist with bathing, oral care, and patient hygiene • Foley catheter insertion (male/female) and urine collection • Maintain isolation precautions and manage restraints • Accurate specimen labeling • Communicate patient status changes to RN/MD • Maintain accurate EPIC documentation
