The Regional Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial management, and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of ASCs across the New York City region. This role ensures high-quality patient care, operational excellence, surgeon satisfaction, and strong financial performance while driving growth and standardization across sites. The Regional Director partners closely with ASC administrators, physician partners, clinical leadership, and the executive team to ensure centers operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with organizational objectives. This is a hands-on role requiring local travel and regular on-site presence at all assigned facilities throughout the New York City area. Operational Leadership * Lead daily operations across multiple ASCs to ensure consistent service standards and efficiency. * Implement policies, standardized workflows, and best practices. * Monitor and improve key metrics: patient throughput, on‑time starts, turnover times, case volumes, and overall efficiency. Financial & Business Management * Own regional P&L performance and drive revenue growth and margin optimization. * Review financials with ASC administrators and identify improvement opportunities. * Lead budgeting, capital planning, and multi‑year strategic initiatives. Clinical Quality & Compliance * Ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory bodies. * Partner with clinical leaders to uphold patient safety, quality, and infection prevention standards. * Track quality indicators and lead continuous improvement efforts. Education * Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field preferred. * Must meet E‑Verify eligibility requirements. Experience * 7-10+ years of progressive leadership in ASC operations or perioperative services. * Proven experience overseeing multiple sites or complex surgical environments. Knowledge & Skills * Strong understanding of ASC regulatory requirements and clinical workflows. * Excellent leadership, financial management, communication, and relationship‑building skills. * Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, highly regulated urban healthcare market. * Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and the ability to learn additional systems as required. Work Schedule & Travel * Full‑time; Monday-Friday business hours with occasional additional time as needed. * Local travel across the NYC region required.
