Assists physicians with interventional ultrasound-guided procedures. Job Duties: * Performs diagnostic sonographic imaging procedures. * Performs quality control and quality assessment. * Assists physicians with interventional procedures. * Ensures the day to day operations run smoothly and issues are reported promptly. * Participates in staff in-service program. * Help schedules patients. * Keeps area supplied and clean. * Assists with orientation of new staff and students. * Assists clerical area when needed. * Perform HIS/RIS/PACS functions. * Maintains equipment to decrease downtime and overtime expense. * Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives. * Other job duties as needed, including diagnostic images if sonographer has ARRT license Licenses and Certifications: * American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required * BLS CPR certification for healthcare providers Required * License renewal must occur within two weeks of expiration date Required * Employee must be RVT and/or RVS and RDMS registry eligible upon hire. Employee will be required to obtain RVT and/or RVS and RDMS within first 18 months. * Revocation or inability to maintain licensure and/or registration may result in termination
