Title: Certified Surgical Technician Location: New York, NY (10003) Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week | 7.5 Hours/Day | 5 Days/WeekDuration: 13 WeeksJob SummaryThe Certified Surgical Technician provides surgical assistance to residents and attending physicians in an oral surgery clinic and dental ambulatory operating/procedure room. This role supports clinical procedures by ensuring proper preparation, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting during surgeries.Key ResponsibilitiesEscort patients to the surgical area, screen patients prior to procedures, and review medical records to confirm treatment plans and completeness of documentationProvide continuous "four-handed" assistance to clinicians during proceduresClean and disinfect countertops, mayo stands, and equipment prior to setupPrepare and organize sterile instruments, surgical trays, and equipment for proceduresTake radiographs as requested before, during, and after proceduresRestock cabinets and maintain inventory of medical and surgical suppliesAssist chair-side by monitoring patient vitals, suctioning, and passing instruments and medicationsRemove instruments and equipment post-procedure and properly dispose of medical wasteRespond effectively in emergency situationsRequired Skills & QualificationsNBSTSA-certified Surgical Technologist (CST)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredDental Assistant Certification requiredMinimum 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsEducationAssociate's Degree requiredLanguage RequirementEnglish (Speak, Read, Write)Additional Requirements:Experience in oral surgery / ambulatory OR setting requiredAbility to maintain sterile technique and follow strict infection control protocolsStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environmentMust be able to respond effectively to emergenciesExperience supporting surgical residents and attending physicians requiredFor more details reach at jknox@ or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
