Performs routine pulmonary function testing (Spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, airway resistance, thoracic gas volume, respiratory muscle strength). Performs routine exercise studies such as oxygen titration and 6-minute walks, resting energy expenditure. Performs set-up and teaching for Home Sleep testing. Trains and educates clinical staff. Education Associate's Degree AMA approved school of respiratory care or pulmonary function technology Required Experience 1 year experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and/or pulmonary function testing Preferred General Experience in calibrating equipment, performing quality control procedures, and conducting a clinical exercise test Preferred Licenses Cert Pulmonary Function Tech Required or Cert Respiratory Therapist Required or Reg Pulmonary Function Tech Required Basic Life Support Required Reg Respiratory Therapist Preferred Amer College of Sports Med.
