Job DescriptionOur client, a world leader in life sciences and diagnostics, is looking for a "Lab Assistant/Technician" based out of Tucson, AZ.Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)Pay Rate: $23/hr on W2Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401KWe are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant / Technician to support daily laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and diagnostic workflows. The ideal candidate will assist with laboratory experiments, prepare samples and materials for testing, maintain laboratory equipment such as slide scanners and diagnostic instruments, and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards. This role requires strong technical aptitude, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport laboratory experiments, research activities, and diagnostic testing processes.Prepare laboratory samples, reagents, and materials for analysis and testing.Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including slide scanning systems and diagnostic instruments.Perform routine equipment maintenance and servicing using appropriate hand tools and technical procedures.Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, data records, and test logs.Assist with data collection, analysis support, and reporting as required.Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment availability.Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.Provide professional interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders when necessary.QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field(preferred).2-5 years of experience working in a laboratory, research, or diagnostic environment.Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and technical troubleshooting.Familiarity with hand tools and equipment servicing.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer-facing or service-related experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in research laboratories, diagnostic laboratories, or clinical lab environments.Knowledge of laboratory safety practices, quality standards, and best laboratory practices.Experience with slide scanning systems or automated diagnostic instruments.If interested, please send us your updated resume athr@/kavitha@Skill SetLaboratory Skills, Equipment Maintenance
