The work we do building families offers purpose, challenge, and personal reward-and we're just getting started.Opportunity OverviewWe have an immediate opening for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Ovation Fertility in Las Vegas, Nevada.Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays once trained in all proceduresThis role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.How You'll ContributeAt US Fertility, collaboration is fundamental to how we work. Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you'll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Medical Laboratory Technologist will:Work closely with infertility specialists, OB-GYNs, Urologists, and Oncologists to provide infertility testing (semen analyses), therapeutic procedures (sperm cryopreservation and preparation of semen specimens for insemination), and cycle monitoring for in vitro fertilization or intrauterine inseminationPrepare specimens for analysis, performing analyses following written proceduresPerform Andrology tests without direct supervision; the Technical Supervisor will review the following test results before they are reported to the physician: semen analysis, sperm preparation for IUI, ASAB testPerform Endocrinology tests without direct supervision; the General Supervisor will review the following test results before they are reported to the physician or appropriate nurse: E2, intact HCG, LH, FSH, P4, TSH, and AMHPrepare reagents or media from written procedures and make adjustments as neededConfirm and verify results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and instrumentsRecognize problems, identify the cause, develop alternatives, and determine solutions where no present criteria are availableIndicate the need for additional laboratory tests for definitive diagnostic information in prescribed instancesUtilize laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately and effectively report patient results in an established formatOperate, calibrate, conduct performance checks, and maintain any clinical laboratory instruments or equipmentRecognize and correct basic instrument malfunctions; notify supervisory personnel when appropriate and contact maintenance personnel when neededEvaluate media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteriaConduct established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluate results of quality control and implement corrective action when indicatedDetermine performance specifications for new methods and establish basic quality control proceduresPerform other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringWe're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience-individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:MS, BA or BS in science or medical technology requiredCurrent Nevada state license for laboratory technology required1 year of Medical Laboratory Technologist experience; 2+ years experience preferredExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure and within deadlinesExcellent communication skillsAbility to work as part of a teamGood research skillsAdvanced computer skillsFlexibility and willingness to learn at all timesExcellent multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to work some weekendsMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
