This full-time opportunity is ideal for an imaging professional who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and producing exceptional diagnostic images in a fast-paced outpatient setting. In this role, you will perform MRI procedures, support safe and efficient patient flow, and help maintain the highest standards of imaging quality, safety, and service. New graduates are welcome to apply.Position DetailsDepartment: Imaging / RadiologyLocation: Syracuse, NYSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PMCompensation: $38.60 - $53.00 per hour ($80,288 - $110,240 annually)Key ResponsibilitiesMRI Imaging & Patient CarePerform high-quality MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocolsPrepare and position patients for MRI exams while ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout the procedureReview and verify imaging requests for accuracy and completenessProduce diagnostic-quality images while maintaining efficiency and attention to detailMonitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needsSafety & ComplianceFollow all MRI safety protocols, including thorough patient screening and equipment safety proceduresMaintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors within the MRI suiteAdhere to all applicable internal policies, state regulations, and accreditation standardsEnsure proper documentation and compliance with departmental and regulatory requirementsSystems, Equipment & Department SupportDemonstrate working knowledge of PACS, RIS, and EMR systemsCheck MRI equipment for proper performance and report any issues promptlyPerform routine quality assurance tasks and coordinate service or maintenance as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and imaging roomsCollaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and fellow imaging staff to support smooth departmental operationsPerform additional related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related imaging programCurrent ARRT certification requiredMRI certification required or eligibility to obtain, based on role requirementsActive licensure as requiredCurrent BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red CrossPreferred QualificationsNew graduates are welcome to apply1-2+ years of MRI experience preferredExperience in an outpatient imaging setting is a plusStrong knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient screening protocolsExcellent communication, organization, and patient care skillsWhy This Opportunity Stands OutThis is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative imaging team in an outpatient environment where quality, safety, and patient experience are top priorities.
