Job Title

The school nurse is a registered License Nurse Practitioner (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certified for working in the school setting who strengthens and facilitates the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children. Must be knowledgeable of the changing growth and behavioral health patterns of school aged children. Have at least 1 year experience in the clinical setting. Responsible for health concerns for students at Lewis Cass Schools including, but not limited to : * all examinations and screening activities as required by law * maintain all health records/immunization records * provide emergency care for illness or injury occurring during school hours * serve as a consultant to the administrators and school personnel, parents and children in regard to health need This position will be at Galveston in the Lewis Cass Polytechnic Academy and Early Learning Academy. The contract will be for 8 hours per day for 190 days of the 2022-23 school year. Pay will be $22 per hour.
