QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, GED, or licensing-approved equivalent. Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of assigned task REPORTS TO: Bluejay Nest Director JOB GOALS: To help provide a smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. PAY GRADE: Grade 3: $9.30 and $14.80. Grade 6:(60 college hours) $10.80 - $16.30 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Direct care of children. * Manage classroom activities. * Ensure children learn positive behaviors and are provided with guidance and approved discipline. * Set schedules and routines for grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning the room and toys. * Develop and encourage age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children acquire basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, and sharing. * Maintain a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents. * Participate in the development and implementation of lesson plans. * Help with classroom arrangement. * Provide parent communication and family engagement. * Provide program development and evaluation. * Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal or teacher may assign from time to time. Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification requirements and participate in state-mandated professional development. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Same as the school calendar, including professional days.
