In this role, you will assist optometrists with vision exams and eye health assessments for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clinical providers while supporting the early detection and management of vision conditions in a geriatric population.ResponsibilitiesAssist optometrists with comprehensive eye exams and vision testingPerform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and autorefractor measurementsPrepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfortAdminister basic diagnostic tests such as visual field testing and retinal imagingAccurately document patient history, test results, and clinical findingsMaintain and clean ophthalmic equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standardsSupport eyeglass fittings, adjustments, and patient education as neededCollaborate with optometrists, advanced practice providers, and facility staffTravel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of an Optometric Technician or Ophthalmic Technician training program preferredCertification (e.g., CPO, ABO) preferred but not requiredPrior experience in optometry or ophthalmology strongly preferredExperience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings a plusStrong attention to detail and technical proficiencyExcellent communication and patient-care skillsComfortable working with the geriatric populationAbility to travel as neededBenefitsCompetitive compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 Paid Time OffWhy Work With Us?Make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniorsWork in a collaborative, mission-driven environmentEnjoy work-life balanceEqual Opportunity EmployerInfinite Medical P.C is an equal-opportunity employer.
