As we continue to grow, we need key players to provide exceptional care and support in the office.Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced and dependable On-Call Caregiver to step in when regular caregivers are unavailable. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of care for our clients. In addition to caregiving duties, the role includes providing office support for our Office Manager, Sharon, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.This position reports primarily to the office manager, Sharon, but tasks and directives may come from the Assisting Hands owners as well. Key Responsibilities:Caregiver Duties: Fill in for shifts as needed due to last-minute cancellations or staffing gaps. (We have clients in both Missouri and Kansas.) Provide compassionate, reliable care to clients in various settings. Assist with patient transfers, including the use of gait belts, slide boards, Hoyer lifts, etc. Comfortable and confident with providing personal care, including bedside brief changes and full bathing/toileting routines. Maintain professionalism and adaptability while working with clients of all backgrounds, including those with pets or smoking habits. Drive clients when needed (must have your own vehicle with valid insurance). Office Support Duties: Assist the Office Manager with clerical tasks such as scanning documents, uploading files, and filing paperwork. Ensure caregiver compliance is tracked and followed up on. Prepare new client folders for consultations. Handle insurance claims, process invoices, and follow up on pending documents. Provide phone support during busy periods and assist with office operations as needed. Be available to help with caregiver orientations or consultations in urgent situations Required Qualifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with current insurance. Previous caregiving experience is required, with the ability to handle a range of client needs professionally. Must be proficient and willing to train on Hoyer Lift and Brief Changes, or willing to learn. Ability to assist with client transfers and personal care tasks safely. Must be comfortable working with clients who have pets and/or smoke. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Willingness to jump in and help where needed, whether it’s providing client care or office support.
