The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of critical thinking, and is highly motivated and self-directed. Requirements and ResponsibilitiesPrepare laboratory equipment and cannabis plant materials for extractionOperate and maintain extraction equipment with proper SOPs and checklists; routinely update safety and maintenance logsImmediately report conformance issues with products, equipment, and processes to managerDeliver on production goals, while focused on safety, product quality, and scheduling demandsProduce product per recipes and SOPs, maintaining high quality standardsReceive and inventory supplies required for processing, including dry goods, frozen plant material, and volatile gassesTrack inputs and outputs to optimize processes and increase yieldsSupport Lab Packaging department efforts as needed to meet business needsPartner with the Edibles Kitchen to develop oils as required for department specific processesPartner with the Solventless department to meet timelines and business goals as requiredComplying with all documented security procedures and safeguarding inventory against diversion. Ability to develop new products with research and support from Department Manager; participate in new product launches to support retail and patient educationMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation on equipment, work surfaces, and laboratory spaces; follow all waste and hazmat protocolsComfort working with and around volatile gasses; continued training, handling skills, and hazmat gas responsibilities will be providedPreferred Qualifications Prior manufacturing or product development lab experience preferredDemonstrated advanced understanding of Microsoft ExcelProficiency in data entry, working with spreadsheets, and mathematical calculationsKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicalsThis job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
