Job Summary The Clayton State University School of Nursing, within the College of Health, invites applications for a full-time, 10-month faculty position in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner. This term or tenure-eligible position reports to the Assistant Dean and the Director of Graduate Programs. The faculty member will provide mentoring, advising, didactic instruction, and clinical training for graduate nursing students. This role primarily supports the MSN program and encompasses the traditional faculty responsibilities of teaching, scholarship, practice, and service consistent with a term or tenure-eligible appointment. Key responsibilities include curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; classroom and online instruction; clinical supervision across various sites; engagement in scholarly activities; and service to the School, University, and community. Faculty members are expected to participate actively in school governance, meet annual performance expectations aligned with rank, and demonstrate progress toward promotion. Appointment rank and salary will be commensurate with scholarly accomplishments and teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have prior teaching experience and must be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia. Responsibilities Teaching & Curriculum * Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and vision of the School of Nursing. * Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum, with an emphasis on BSN education. * Prepares appropriate instructional plans, materials, and learning activities to support achievement of course learning outcomes. * Provides clinical supervision for assigned student groups in clinical and laboratory settings. Scholarship & Professional Contributions * Builds a focused program of scholarship and demonstrates ongoing scholarly productivity. * Engages in research and/or evidence-based practice activities that influence clinical practice. * Disseminates scholarly and practice-related findings through publications, presentations, and other professional outlets. * Maintains continued scholarly contributions such as evidence translation, conference presentations, or manuscript publications. Service & Engagement * Serves on departmental, school, and university committees as needed. * Participates in professional activities and maintains a strong commitment to service within the School of Nursing, the University, the profession, and the community. * Engages collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff to support a positive academic environment. Additional Expectations * Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the School of Nursing and the College of Health. * Maintains an on-campus presence; this is not a virtual or remote appointment. * Provides instructional support across all designated instructional sites.
