Are you living your life's work? **Location:** Plainsboro, NJ **Sign-on Bonus of up to 10K!!!!!** **Hours:** 40hrs/wk, 5x8hr shifts. 11pm - 7:30 am. every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed **Summary:** + Assist Department Section Supervisor in providing laboratory services to meet the needs of patients as ordered by the Medical Staff and performed in accordance with accepted standards and practices; as needed direct, supervise, and coordinate functions and activities in assigned divisions of the clinical laboratories. Responsibilities: + ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + 1. As needed, assist the Laboratory Section Supervisor in a variety of tasks relating to division operations, i.e. CAP testing, NACCL's procedure, writing, etc. + 2. Review and monitor test findings obtained by laboratory personnel, check validity and accuracy of results in conjunction with CAP and HGFA requirements. + 3. Do quality control and take appropriate action to insure variation in test results and standards are within acceptable quality control ranges. + 4. Perform directly or assist staff technologists and technicians in performance of difficult or unusual studies and procedures. Act as a resource to laboratory and medical staff. + 5. Assist Section Supervisor in supervising assigned staff members. **Credentials:** + **American Society for Clinical Pathology (Required)** + MLT or C-MLS (Required) + MT (ASCP or NCA), MLS(ASCP), or previously qualified as Medical Technologist prior to 2/28/92 under 42CFR493.1427 (3/14/90) **Education or Equivalent Experience** : + Bachelor of Arts or Science **(Required)** + Education Specialization:chemical, biological or laboratory science/medical technology science rEquivalent Experience:-And 5+ years Minimum of five years' recent experience in a laboratory setting We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
